SUSANNE Mccarthy

Susanne McCarthy is a Londoner by birth who now lives in beautiful South Devon, close to the sea, with her husband and the latest in a much-loved succession of dogs—including five rescued Afghan hounds and several little terriers.

A former teacher, Susanne has worked in both secondary schools and adult education, but storytelling has always been her true passion. She was spinning tales long before she could write them down, and even won a London Schools short story competition—an achievement she still treasures today.

Over the years, Susanne has tried her hand at writing in a variety of genres, yet somehow every story found its way back to romance. And why not? In an increasingly hectic world, she believes we all deserve a little escapism—and, of course, a happy ending.
